Diosdado Cabello cynically hinted at the month in which the presidential elections will be held

“Venezuelan Presidential Elections: Chavismo Spokesperson Diosdado Cabello Makes Predictions”

In a bold and sarcastic statement, Chavismo spokesperson Diosdado Cabello claimed that he could have guessed the date of the upcoming presidential elections in Venezuela. During his program Con El Mazo, Cabello stated on Wednesday, January 31, “Two weeks ago I said in a playful way that the elections were going to be in March, but I kind of hit it (…) at the rate we are going, the elections could be in March.”

Cabello’s comments come in response to recent statements made by the Biden administration, which set a deadline for Chavismo to honor commitments to hold fair elections. Dismissing these statements, Cabello defiantly declared, “They’re not going to scare us! They’re not going to twist our arms. This People must be very clear that when our country is going up a steep slope, the economists know it, as the People who are also economists know today, we must be aware.”

These comments from Cabello show a strong determination from the Chavismo camp to push ahead with the presidential elections on their own terms, despite pressure from the international community. It remains to be seen whether Cabello’s predictions will come true, and how the Venezuelan government will proceed in the face of mounting pressure.

With tensions high and political uncertainty looming, the upcoming presidential elections in Venezuela continue to be a topic of great interest and concern both domestically and abroad. Stay tuned for further updates as the situation unfolds.
