The mayor of Pieve di Soligo, Stefano Soldan, says that his fellow citizens have lost patience due to the inefficiencies of group medicine. And that he, his collaborators like other fellow citizens, have decided to mobilize on their own. Here, therefore, that this morning two volunteers of the Civil Protection were deployed at the entrance of the integrated medicine center welcoming patients, from 9 to 12, measuring their temperature and sanitizing their hands. A dozen doctors who operate there.

The difficulties are those of other presidia. Suffice it to say that last year, as Councilor Tobia Donadel recalled, taking stock of the situation with journalists in the town hall, complete with giant signs “copied” to the President of the Region Luca Zaia, the center registered 31,714 accesses and 74,000 phone calls from 18,000 patients. A little bit of accounts? There are 202 phone calls a day, an average of 12 visits every day of the year.

The municipal administration has decided to switch to operations after months of inconvenience and controversy, and – as the mayor says – of lack of responses from the institutions in charge. A mobilization agreed with the general practitioners, coordinated by Dr. Salvatore Cauchi. «Attention, ours is a collaborative position, not of opposition – specifies the mayor -. We also told him to the general manager Francesco Benazzi, recognizing among other things that in our case there are peaks of anomalous accesses compared to the normal management of the structure and this has certainly complicated things ». In addition to the collaboration of the Civil Protection, from today the telephone lines will be strengthened, which will increase from 3 to 4. “The help of the Civil Protection volunteers has already shown, in the first hours of the service, that, on the one hand, the staff of the structure and, on the other hand, guaranteed more orderly access “.
