New Cultural Landmark, Baietan Greater Bay Area Art Center, Lights Up with Spectacular Opening Ceremony

On the evening of April 28, the Baietan Greater Bay Area Art Center held its official opening ceremony, marking the debut of the Baietan branch of the Guangdong Museum of Art, the Guangdong Provincial Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum, and the Guangdong Literature Museum. Situated along the Pearl River, this new cultural landmark is set to become a prominent feature in the Bay Area.

The opening night dazzled spectators with a stunning light show and a fleet of drones that illuminated the night sky over Baietan. Showcasing vibrant picture scrolls inspired by Lingnan culture, the event truly captured the cultural and artistic essence of the Bay Area.

The Baietan Greater Bay Area Art Center kicked off its public opening on May 1 with a grand variety show titled “Etan Singing – Baietan Greater Bay Area Art Center Opening.” Featuring a mix of music, dance, opera, and acrobatics, the show celebrated the rich cultural heritage and contemporary vitality of the region.

As thousands of drones transformed into spectacular displays, the night sky came alive with scenes depicting the essence of the Greater Bay Area. From traditional folk performances to modern artistic interpretations, the event highlighted the diverse cultural tapestry of the region.

Prominent cultural figures shared their excitement for the opening of the Baietan Greater Bay Area Art Center. Fan Di’an, chairman of the Chinese Artists Association, praised the facility as a significant cultural landmark that embodies the spirit of the Greater Bay Area.
