A few days before she was killed by her ex-husband, Zlatan Vasiljevic, Lidia Miljkovic he had received an anonymous “warning” letter. The text warned Lydia not to “go around”, and was signed “a friend of yours”.
This was revealed by Lidia’s partner, Daniele Mondello, who had found her, three days before the double femicide (Zlatan also killed his current girlfriend, Gabriela Serrano), in the box of the new home that the couple was buying in Vicenza, three days before the double femicide.
“It is a sort of letter that could therefore be a threat – explained the companion – not only for Lidia but for the whole family, because she basically said not to go around all together, or that there was always someone with her”.
The funeral of the two victims, Lidia and Gabriela, and their killer could be celebrated between Monday and Tuesday next week. The autopsies are underway, after which the magistrate will be able to give the authorization to the funeral.
The hearings of relatives and witnesses continued at the police station. Among the people heard by the police was Gabriela’s ex-husband, who had moved to Spain with her daughter. The images of the surveillance cameras in the area of the Gogna district, where Lidia was found dead in the street, are being examined. Investigators are looking for the latest details to reconstruct the dynamics of the double femicide.
Meanwhile, according to what is learned from sources in via Arenula, the Minister of Justice Marta Cartabia he asked his inspectors to start investigations given the two criminal investigations, the cause of separation, the “rehabilitation” path that did not stop the killer. The first step of the inspectorate – once a file has been opened – will be to request a report from the heads of the judicial offices.
