5. Regarding airport pick-up and isolation arrangements
The university will provide a free pick-up service from Newcastle International Airport to Durham within the specified time. At the same time, the pick-up time is divided according to the isolation time required by students from countries and regions with different health risk ratings. At present, China is the British government’s Amber List, which is classified according to the health risk rating, and will provide airport pickup services at the following times:
From 10:00 to 18:00 on September 15th and 16th. In order to ensure sufficient isolation time, it is strongly recommended that students who need the airport pick-up service arrive at this time and complete the 10-day isolation requirement after arriving at the school.
If you arrive after 18:00 on September 15th and 16th, free taxi service is available.
If you cannot arrive on the above date, you can also book a pick-up service from 10 to 18:00 on September 21. Please note for this part of students: you can consider the early termination of the quarantine policy test to release scheme launched by the British government, the quarantine can be terminated if the private nucleic acid test at your own expense is negative on the 5th day, and the nucleic acid test is still required after the 8th day.
