Another week to formalize lists and candidates in the municipal elections in September
By next week, the ayassins will know precisely the lists and names of candidates for mayor, deputy mayor and city council. In fact, next Saturday, at 12 noon, the deadline for presenting the candidates elected to the municipal elections of Ayas on 19 and 20 September next.
According to the provisions, the municipal secretary must take care of transmitting each list to the district electoral commission within the same day on which it was presented for checks on the validity of the documentation presented.
To avoid misunderstandings and errors that could invalidate the candidacies, the Region reminds that “the collection of signatures of subscribers, who must be voters registered in the lists of the Municipality, must take place on specific forms bearing the list mark, the progressive Arabic number of each candidate, the surname, first name, date and place of birth of the candidates, as well as the surname, first name, date and place of birth of the voters and must be authenticated by one of the subjects referred to in Article 14 of Law 53/1990 (including , it is recalled, also the regional and municipal councilors and lawyers) ».
Candidates elected to the Municipality of Ayas must also submit, with the application form, the certificates of enrollment in the electoral lists of any municipality of the Republic. Finally, “the declaration of presentation of the candidacies must also contain an indication of the list delegates, of which one effective and one alternate, appointed to assist in the draw of the lists and to designate the list representatives at the polling stations and at each ballot office ».
