MONTEBELLUNA. It was the electric blanket that caught fire, a sudden short circuit and the flames started and spread to the bed and the bedroom furniture. An elderly man was taken to the hospital for checks because the room had been filled with smoke and he had breathed from it, but fortunately nothing serious for him.

It happened on Saturday around 11 pm in via Feltrina Sud, at number 217, in a house just north of the roundabout leading to the Pedemontana Veneta tollbooth.
