Enilce Lopez Romero, alias The Cat, passed away

In the early hours of this Sunday died Enilce del Rosario Lopez Romero, alias The Cat, in a clinic in Barranquilla, where he was in a delicate state of health.

A few days ago, a judge of the Republic had suspended the sentence against him so that he could attend to his medical matters from the General Clinic of the North, in the capital of Atlántico, from where his death was reported to Inpec.

This entity was the one that publicly announced that at 12:48 on January 14, ‘La Gata’ died; and also revealed that one of his sons, the inmate Jorge Luis Alfonso López, has already requested permission to attend the funeral, programmed in Gardens of Eternity, in Barranquilla.

At the beginning of this year, exactly on January 3, López had entered a clinic in the city to the hospitalization area. “The doctors told his children that his vital organs were compromised and he also had difficulty breathing,” he said at the time.

Enilce López has several judicial records in which she was also reviewed as ‘the businesswoman of chance’. The penalty she was paying was for her participation in the murder of the vigilante Amaury Fabián Ochoa, who was executed by paramilitaries in June 2000, at a tollbooth that connects Sincelejo and Cartagena.
