“With great regret and deep disappointment,” the “National Committee for Bar Exam Victims” said that it “is following the negative response of a group of institutions to the corruption scandal of the bar exam in the December 2022 session and the subsequent systematic perpetuation of corruption in the second exam in the July 2023 session,” criticizing “the failure to open “Investigate the matter, identify clear violations, refute suspicions, and arrange the necessary legal consequences against those involved in tampering with this exam, which was supervised by the Ministry of Justice.”
The committee’s latest statements, obtained by Hespress, included a clear expression of “its members’ regret over the absence of any justification or explanation for some of the institutions to which the file was referred in their areas of jurisdiction, despite the important constitutional powers they enjoy,” renewing, therefore, “its call to hold all those involved accountable.” In tampering with the bar exam, and linking responsibility to accountability and impunity, which perpetuates forms of procrastination and circumvention of the right and the law.”
In the latest developments in its protest program, which it was implementing through numerous stops in front of the parliament headquarters, the committee announced that it “intends to escalate its struggle, while taking all legitimate means in order to achieve rights and confront corruption and grave violations,” which perpetuate “nepotism, clientelism, and political bias,” according to its description. , before explaining that “her clinging to her legitimate rights and her ongoing struggle are a contribution to consolidating the state of constitutional institutions and principles.”
The “bar exam passers-by” said in its two sessions that they hold “the Minister of Justice and the committee supervising the exams the main responsibility for everything that happened in the exam and its repercussions,” announcing “a renewed call to all concerned parties and institutions to fulfill their roles and address the issue seriously in accordance with constitutional principles and royal directives.”
