SUSEGANA. Elena Zanardo in Pederiva, 76 years old, died. She was a militant and delegate of the CISL, in the 70s, the hardest ones of the workers’ mobilizations. She was among the first activists to spend herself on the rights of workers and in particular of working mothers. She had started working as a child, because she had been orphaned by her father Antonio at the age of 8.

Then she was a worker at Caloi and Dal Vera. Together with her husband Mario Pederiva she animated the Acli circles and Catholic associations. She also demonstrated her strength of mind by fighting the disease that struck her 5 years ago. She leaves her husband Mario, her daughters Francesca and Angela, her son-in-law Ermes, her nephews Federico and Filippo, her sisters. The funeral was celebrated on Thursday morning in the church of Colfosco.
