MARENO. Giuseppe Basei, a historic trader in the dairy products sector, died in hospital in Conegliano.
Basei was 89 years old and lived in Ramera. With his brother Agostino, still missing in 1994, in the 1950s he started the business of selling cheeses and dairy products in the markets.
His son Gianmarco explains that over the decades the business, of his father and uncle, has evolved and grown over time and is still followed by their respective families, who have given birth to two distinct companies in the sale of cheeses and products. dairies, represented by five partners, supported by family collaborators: “Formalat snc” which operates in the wholesale sector, supplying shops, restaurants, ice cream parlors and even some supermarkets; the “Basei Formaggi” which continues its retail sale of cheeses in the weekly markets, especially in the Coneglianese area. Giuseppe Basei leaves his wife Luciana, his children Gianmarco, Antonella and Roberto, his daughters-in-law and son-in-law with their respective families, his sister, grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
