First reconstructions, trapped while checking machinery
(ANSA) – PISA, 28 SEPTEMBER – A 54-year-old farmer died in the evening after being practically beheaded by the blades of an agricultural machine, a thresher, in Pontasserchio, in the province of Pisa. The body was found around 8.30 pm but the accident at work could have happened even earlier. On the spot, the firefighters intervened to free the body trapped in the machinery and the carabinieri to reconstruct the dynamics. According to a reconstruction, the farmer was sucked into the large blades of the agricultural vehicle after crouching to check if the machine had had a breakdown or in any case another problem that prevented its correct functioning. The man’s body, especially in the upper part, had very deep wounds. Investigations by the carabinieri in progress.
