In the 71st minute, the Bayern fans shouted for the first time: “Superbayern, Superbayern!” – Still very reserved and quiet, they didn’t trust it. After the game, they sang it as loudly as they could with the team in front of the south curve. Leon Goretzka ran into the corner with two clenched fists, from which “European Cup winners, European Cup winners, FCB!” rang out.
Sometimes you can tell the mood of an entire club from the mood in the stadium. After the 1-0 win against Arsenal and the semi-finals in the Champions League, they regained their courage in Munich. Defiance was noticeable in the Bayern stadium, as was relief – a word that Thomas Tuchel also used at the press conference to describe the mood in the dressing room.
