As the Bayern media group reports, citing a position paper by deputy parliamentary group leader Kuhle, the options for obtaining their residential addresses from the population register should be limited. Such information is already blocked by law for members of the federal and state parliaments. The FDP wants to extend the regulation to representatives of local authorities, electoral officials and political officials. She also suggests extending the duration of information blocks. Currently, these are valid for two years and then have to be renewed. The FDP paper calls for the possibility of being able to obtain bans for the entire duration of a term of office and sometimes even beyond that.
