FELTRE. From the Dubai Expo to the Feltre handicraft exhibition. Closing of the shows in Piazza Maggiore in grand style, also thanks to the setting of the newly reopened Lombardesche fountains, which in addition to their lighting have been enriched for the exhibition with the addition of colored lights. A particular play of lights and water is created for the musical performance “Sky piano” which was also brought to the Dubai exhibition and promises to be particularly impressive and impactful, before the final day of the event tomorrow, which will see at 5 pm the announcement of the winners of the Carlo Rizzarda prize and of the forging competition, and the awarding of the participants in the wood sculpture symposium.

THE “FIL ROUGE” OF THE MOUNTAIN

After the good influx of people in the historic center that accompanied the first two evenings of the handicraft exhibition on Thursday and Friday, the forging competition has started, with the blacksmiths at work in Largo Castaldi. The wood carving symposium has also begun, with about ten craftsmen at work under the Campanon tower. The theme for the works of the masters of wrought iron this year is “The Dolomites: the mountain lives”, chosen specifically in connection with the hiking week organized by the Cai di Feltre on the occasion of the centenary of the section. The mountain is therefore the red thread that binds the two events and was also the protagonist last night of the choral festival in Piazza Maggiore “Sul Pajon”.
