Then he turned the gun, which he had bought a few hours earlier, at himself, committing suicide. The bodies were found by two of the three children, aged 20 and 26, hospitalized under shock. It happened in the Trentino Val di Fiemme, in Castello Molina. The tragedy, on whose motive the carabinieri are investigating with the coordination of the chief prosecutor of Trento, Sandro Raimondi, happened around 2 pm.
The couple left the house walking on a path in Dos dei Cavai. The couple was well known in Val di Fiemme for the practice of nomadic beekeeping. An ancient practice that follows the different blooms in the woods and pastures of the Dolomite valleys. A hard work to which Viviana Micheluzzi dedicated herself as a child: she from her studies in Prague to refine the breeding and selection techniques to the decision to open her own company with her husband. Together they specialized in particular mono-floral honeys produced in limited quantities.
The tragedy took place in the locality of Brozin, where the woman had some of her hives and the Fertilization Center for queen bees. In her laboratory, Viviana Micheluzzi had thousands of instrumentally inseminated queen bees, the result of over 15 years of conservative genetic selection of the native bee. About ten years ago, with the help of the Agricultural Institute of San Michele all’Adige and the support of the state-owned Forests of Paneveggio which had granted it 6,000 hectares of land, it had carried out the “Ape trentina” project, the creation of a resistant ecotype, selected, able to give excellent results, both as regards the quality and quantity of honey.
