PIEVE DI SOLIGO. In the afternoon of today 6 July, in the Cathedral of Pieve di Soligo, thelast hug to the 35-year-old bartender Elisa Campeol, stabbed to death on 23 June last, in Moriago, by Fabrizio Biscaro, 34 years old from Col San Martino in prison for the murder.
For the funeral was arranged a security service by the Civil Protection, with limited access to the church, and the municipal operations center was activated by the mayor Stefano Soldan.
In Pieve di Soligo city mourning was proclaimed: shutters lowered during the funeral and a minute of silence.
Also present at the ceremony the president of the Region Luca Zaia and the prefect of Treviso Maria Rosaria Laganà. The ceremony is celebrated by Don Giuseppe Nadal, who explained that he had chosen as a reading a parable indicated by Elisa herself in a recent post on fb: the parable of the wheat and the weeds.
