Five subjects were captured by officials of the National Army, on tertiary roads that connect Cesar and La Guajira, who were allegedly transporting war material.
The operation was carried out by soldiers from the Medium Armored Cavalry Group GR Gustavo Matamoros D’Costa who, in the development of the ‘Safe Journey, your Army is on the Road’ campaign, located two vehicles that were traveling between the Bahía Portete township and the municipality. from Uribia, in La Guajira. At the time of verification, the five subjects who occupied them had eight rifles in their possession, with their respective suppliers.
The subjects were placed at the disposal of the National Police, to legalize the capture for the crime of manufacturing, trafficking and carrying firearms.
Likewise, soldiers will continue to carry out military operations that allow neutralizing the different factors of instability that converge in this sector.
