At 9 o’clock in the morning on October 25, a fire broke out in Jingshan New Residence. The floor of the incident was the 5th floor of Building 5, and the open flame was extinguished at around 10 o’clock on the 25th.
Mainland media reported that each building of Jingshan New Residence has 6 floors, with 2 households on each floor. There is no elevator on the upper and lower floors, so it is necessary to walk.
Affected by the fire, the windows of the burning house were completely broken and the outer walls were burnt black. The windows and exterior walls of the two adjacent houses on the upper and lower floors are also blackened by heavy smoke.
There was an old lady in her 60s and three grandchildren in the fire house. The report quoted community residents as saying that the children’s parents were working outside. The youngest of the three children was only 1 year and 8 months old. After the four were rescued, they were sent to the hospital, but none of them were rescued.
According to several residents, they had received a message that the fire was caused by electric vehicle chargers.
However, officials said that the cause of the fire is still under investigation, and specific details such as the area of the fire site and the casualties are inconvenient to disclose.
