Data show that from January to February, Xiamen’s exports were 72.62 billion yuan, an increase of 19.1%, 5.5 percentage points higher than the national level, and 1.5 percentage points higher than the province’s. Among them, the export of mechanical and electrical products increased by 17.7%, and the export of labor-intensive products increased by 22.5%.
In terms of imports, from January to February, Xiamen imported 62.13 billion yuan, an increase of 2.7%. The import scale ranked first among the nine cities in Fujian Province, accounting for 57.2% of the province’s import value. Among them, imported agricultural products increased by 16.7%, imported copper ore increased by 34.3%, and imported coal increased by 34.9%.
According to the relevant person of Xiamen Customs, the growth rate of Xiamen’s import and export to BRICS countries is eye-catching. From January to February, Xiamen’s imports and exports to the BRICS countries reached 10.66 billion yuan, an increase of 16.6%, 5.7 percentage points higher than the city’s average growth rate. Among them, the import and export to Brazil has the largest scale and the fastest growth rate, with an import and export of 3.35 billion yuan, an increase of 24.2%; an import and export of 2.84 billion yuan to Russia, an increase of 20.3%; an import and export of 2.82 billion yuan to India, an increase of 22.9%; Imports and exports were 1.65 billion yuan, down 7.7%.
In terms of major trading partners, from January to February, Xiamen’s imports and exports to ASEAN, the United States and the European Union, the top three trading partners, were 22.85 billion, 20.25 billion and 18.38 billion respectively, an increase of 7.4%, 23.2% and 38.7% respectively.
At the same time, Xiamen is actively expanding emerging foreign trade markets. From January to February, the growth rate of Xiamen’s imports and exports to Saudi Arabia, Mexico and Congo (DRC) exceeded 50%, which was significantly higher than the national average.

At the same time, build a digital port platform in Xiamen, relying on Xiamen’s “single window” for international trade, apply the concept of system integration, integrate digital resources for port supervision operations, and build a unified, intelligent and efficient digital port platform, which comprehensively covers seaports, airports, comprehensive protection zones, In logistics and other fields, focus on the construction of digital cockpit, auxiliary supervision sub-platform, collaborative cooperation sub-platform and external service sub-platform “one cabin and three platforms” to achieve efficient integration.
Focusing on the “cross-border e-commerce + overseas warehouse” model, we support traditional foreign trade enterprises in need to transform into cross-border e-commerce, and support the construction and development of overseas warehouses for cross-border e-commerce. Support enterprises to deepen their cultivation in key countries, and deploy overseas warehouses in BRICS countries, along the “Belt and Road”, Southeast Asia, and the European Union.
