From psychedelia to soul – Alberto Notarbartolo

I have known Just dropped in (to see what condition my condition was in), the #canzonedelgiorno, thanks to the soundtrack of Grande Lebowski by the Coen brothers. Its most famous version, the very psychedelic one from 1968, is by First Edition, the band of Kenny Rogers before it became a giant of country music. The version you find here, however, is by Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, absolute masters of the revival of classic soul of the 2000s. It is in a posthumous album by the singer, who died in 2016, which collects various covers recorded by the band over the years.
