On the afternoon of the 11th, many residents of Fengting Town told The Epoch Times reporter that the whole town was closed and everyone was afraid, “(The epidemic) is very serious.”
The epidemic expands and the town is closed
The epidemic first occurred in a primary school in Fengting Town. Putian City officials stated in a notification on September 10 that as of 18:00 on September 10, a total of 6 people in Putian City had tested positive for nucleic acid, 3 students and 3 parents, involving two families, including a family of four. . Six people live in five villages, Xinan, Xibei, Jianguo, Putou and Xiufeng, Fengting Town.
On the afternoon of September 11, the Putian City Center for Disease Control stated at a press conference that as of 16:00 on the 11th, a total of 6 confirmed cases and 18 asymptomatic infections had been found.
At present, all public transportation vehicles in Xianyou County of Putian have been suspended, and all provincial and municipal shuttle buses have been suspended; all Internet cafes, entertainment venues and other crowded business establishments in the townships of Xianyou County have been suspended.
Putou Community and Linshan Village were upgraded to high-risk areas; Xiufeng Village, Gengfeng Village, Jiushe Village, Lanyou Community, and Xiajie Community were middle-risk areas.
According to officials, the outbreak is initially determined to be a Delta strain, and it is expected that the gene sequencing results will be available within two or three days. The Chinese Communist Party Health Commission sent a working group to Putian City to deal with the epidemic.
Villagers in the town’s health code turn orange: very serious
On the afternoon of the 11th, several residents in Fengting Town told the Epoch Times reporter: “(The epidemic) is very serious.” At present, the town has been closed, schools have been closed, supermarkets, and shops have also been closed. The health codes of residents in the town have turned orange.
A staff member of the North Passenger Transport Station of Fengting Town said that all passenger vehicles in the town have been suspended, and we will wait for notice when it will resume.
“People and cars can’t get in. It’s very serious. Even if you come in, you must be isolated for 14 days.” The staff said, “As long as one and two cases are found here, everyone is very scared and they dare not go out at home.”
Lanyou Community is a medium-risk area. A resident said: “This is not only medium-risk, but medium-high risk. There are already a few cases in the community.” She did not want to reveal too much.
Lan Chenqiang (pseudonym), a citizen of Fengting West Road, Fengting Town, Xianyou County, Putian City, also told reporters that all the villages where the epidemic was found have been closed, and the whole town has basically completed nucleic acid testing, and the health code of the whole town has been changed. School’s first outbreak
On September 10, Putian City conducted a nucleic acid test for the new crown virus (CCV) of a primary school student in Fengting Town, Xianyou County, and found that 2 students (brothers) were positive for nucleic acid, and then expanded nucleic acid sampling and found 4 People (1 student and 3 parents) were nucleic acid positive, involving two families, including a family of four.
The two brothers are the first positive cases of the epidemic.
Regarding the situation of the school involved, Li Lin (pseudonym), a villager in Xiufeng Village, revealed to reporters that the elementary school (where the epidemic was discovered) took away students from several buses to quarantine. Three cases have been diagnosed in Xiufeng Village, all of whom were attending the Putou school (where the epidemic was detected).
In the Putou community where the epidemic is more severe, a resident Ming Lan (pseudonym) said: “Students from the school (where the epidemic occurred) were taken to the hotel and quarantined, and the school was closed.”

Minglan said that her children are studying in a primary school in the town, and all the schools have been closed. They are currently isolated from home and waiting for news. It is unclear what to do next.
The reporter asked which elementary school had the epidemic situation, but Minglan did not respond.
The virus has a long incubation period and 9 nucleic acid negatives
Putian City officially released the general flow of the epidemic as follows:
Case 1: Lin Moumou, male, 12 years old, was nucleic acid positive on September 10.
Case 2: Lin Moumou, male, 10 years old, the younger brother of case 1, was nucleic acid positive on September 10.
Case 3: Lin Mou, male, 33 years old, the father of Case 1, Case 2, was nucleic acid positive on September 10.
Case 4: Ke Moumou, female, 30 years old, the mother of case 1, case 2, was positive for nucleic acid on September 10.
Case 5: Lin Moumou, male, 12 years old, a classmate of case 1, was nucleic acid positive on September 10.
Case 6: Lin Moumou, male, 38 years old, the father of case 5, was nucleic acid positive on September 10. The investigation found that the case entered the Xiamen airport from Singapore on August 4 and went directly to the hotel for isolation. After 14 days, it was transferred to Xianyou County for centralized isolation on August 19, 22, and 24. The three nucleic acids were all negative, and they were monitored at home on August 26.
According to the official, Lin Moumou was quarantined for 21 days, during which 9 nucleic acid tests were negative, and 1 serum test was also negative. On September 10, the nucleic acid test result was positive and the virus incubation period was long.
As of the time of publication, there have been no further reports on the 16 new cases of asymptomatic infections.
Because the CCP is accustomed to concealing the epidemic, the actual epidemic is more serious than reported.
