BRIDGE IN THE ALPS. The Polpet festival is back in style, confirmed from 2 to 8 September. The organizers of Gruppo 90 will implement limitations and controls, giving up some traditional elements but the formula will be very similar to that of the last edition, that of 2019.

«We are full of enthusiasm», explains Mauro Topinelli at the head of the organizational machine, «the control regulations do not scare us because already years ago, for safety reasons after some national news events, we had already set up an access control system. Our experience therefore allows us to have organizational protocols: obviously the Green pass is mandatory and we would prepare control bracelets for this purpose. They also asked us to organize vaccination sessions and we are therefore working with the Province, the Municipality and the Ulss to give this service too, following the example of some similar evenings ».

«We want to give a signal to restart», continues Topinelli, «we owe it in particular to our team of volunteers, over 100 people of all ages who feel like family. The missed edition of 2020 has weighed and we do not want to lose the heritage of collaboration and desire to get involved for the community and for this reason we strongly wanted to organize the event. Over the years we have become one of the most important festivals in the province and this year after all, even with all the obvious precautions, there will be very few elements different from the usual: the duration is reduced by a few days, there will be no double stage but with the Palamares available in case of rain ».

The detailed program will be outlined on social networks in days but has been designed to please all age groups. On Thursday of their debut Rumatera will play with their Venetian punk rock, on Friday guest Leon Faun, a young rapper who is making a splash on Spotify. On Saturday the Jpm will return to the stage while on Sunday there will be the Valcantuna band with the “Stracapolpet” pedestrian walk and a prize for the volunteers who distinguished themselves during the pandemic. On 6 September culinary evening with fish by the Pian Longhi chef and on 7 September Bavarian evening.

Grand finale on the patron’s day, 8 September, with the inevitable fireworks.
