In the last few hours, the persistence of the Military Forces to locate the Cessna 206 aircraft, missing since last May 1, gave its first fruits and revives the hope of finding its occupants.
The Special Forces found a bottle, which would belong to the 11-month-old baby who was traveling aboard the single-engine registration HK 2803, whose trace was lost on May 1 in the deep jungle of Guaviare.
From that moment, AEROCIVIL and the Colombian Air Force activated all the search protocols, but given the complexity of the search due to the terrain and the weather, they went to insert the military elite, the Special Forces for more than 10 days where more than 60 of his best men with state-of-the-art equipment and technological tools reinforced the search for the seven occupants in that virgin jungle located between Caquetá and Guaviare with the sole purpose of saving the lives of those people.
With canine Wilson, the Special Forces found this element that, in addition to encouraging them to continue the search, gives them clues about the possible location of the people and the aircraft.
The rain and the inhospitable nature of the area make the search very difficult since it immediately erases the traces, however, they keep their faith intact, without giving up and ready to follow the search to find them, and thus fulfill the mission as they have always done. : save lifes.
All these search and rescue tasks are being articulated with relief agencies and indigenous communities in the region.
