Hainan Free Trade Port-ASEAN Think Tank Alliance was officially established_China Economic Net-National Economic Portal

According to reports, the Hainan Free Trade Port-ASEAN Think Tank Alliance was initiated by 17 think tanks and related scholars from 9 Asian countries, including the Indonesian Center for Strategic and International Studies and the China (Hainan) Institute for Reform and Development. It is an important link between Asian countries and China. The academic network and cooperative research platform will promote strategic alignment, policy synergy and mutual learning between regions by holding forums and activities and establishing information sharing mechanisms.

Chi Fulin, President of the China (Hainan) Institute of Reform and Development, said that under the background of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) coming into effect, there is an important opportunity to strengthen China-ASEAN comprehensive strategic cooperation. The establishment of the alliance has received positive response and participation from think tanks in ASEAN countries such as Indonesia, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Laos and other related think tanks in China.
