AZZANO DECIMO. An intense day on the front of accidents at work, that of Thursday 15 July in the Destra Tagliamento. An entrepreneur was seriously injured – but fortunately not in danger of life – after falling from a forklift at his company in Azzano Decimo.
Meanwhile, a few kilometers away, a worker was slightly burned in the beginning of a fire that occurred in a paint shop in Valvasone.
The alarm for the injured businessman went off in the morning, just before noon. The accident occurred at Fhiaba srl, in via Fiumicino in Azzano Decimo: the owner of the company was involved in the fall from a forklift.
On the spot, the Sores center in Palmanova sent an ambulance and a self-medical. Considering the condition of the injured person and the dynamics of the injury, the doctors opted to be transported to the hospital in Pordenone with a red code, which indicates the maximum severity. Fortunately, it is not in danger of life. The carabinieri also arrived on the spot.
The second injury occurred in the afternoon in Valvasone, in via Pontebbana. A fire has occurred in a company that deals with industrial painting. There was a small explosion and a worker was burned in one hand, fortunately not seriously.
The firefighters also arrived on site: the principle of the fire had already been extinguished by the paint workers and the firefighters took steps to secure the structure.
Continuous attention, that towards accidents at work, which passes through prevention to anticipate all those potentially risky situations. The latest available data tell of a phenomenon on the rise: accident reports so far have been 1,202 against 987 last year. –
