Hiker falls ill in the mountains: rescued and taken to hospital

UDINE. The 75-year-old man rescued from illness this morning was taken to the hospital with the ambulance that reached the parking lot at the beginning of the path to the Grauzaria Refuge, in the Carnic Alps in the province of Udine. Six technicians from the Moggio Udine station intervened.

The hiker was noticed on the ground in difficulty by other young hikers climbing up and calling the Nue112. The first to arrive on site was the Alpine Rescue of Moggio with the defibrillator but it was not needed.

The man, who was breathing and whose heartbeat was present, was taken downstream and handed over to the ambulance doctors. The Finance Police and the Fire Brigade also took part in the rescue.
