Houston U-19 Squash Championship: Huzaifa of Pakistan wins the title

In the Houston Open Under-19 Squash Championship, Pakistani player Huzaifa Ibrahim won the championship title.

In a tough final match, Huzaifa faced American Christian Kapila. With a brilliant display of skill and determination, Huzaifa secured victory with a score of 0-3. They won three consecutive sets with scores of 10-12, 8-11 and 4-11 to clinch the title.

Before reaching the final, Huzaifa demonstrated her skills on the court by defeating another American player 1-3 in the semi-final match.

The win added another addition to his cap which was his 35th international title in his illustrious career.

The World Squash Federation (WSF) board has awarded US squash the rights to host the 2024 WSF World Junior Squash Championships. The competitions will be held from July 12 to 23 in Houston, Texas. Ahead of this important competition, Huzaifa’s victory is considered quite important.

The 2024 edition, which will include both men’s and women’s junior individual tournaments, will be held at the Houston Squash Club, which is also home to two PSA World Tour Gold events at the Houston Open.

Next year’s championships will also see the men’s and women’s junior team championships held simultaneously for the first time in the event’s history.

Huzaifa is now preparing for the World Junior Championships in Houston in July 2024. He will represent Pakistan in the championship and is likely to be in the top 4 with his current world ranking and results. According to their supporters, Pakistan once again has a great chance to lift the trophy in 2024.

Huzaifa is currently ranked 192 in the world. He started his professional journey last week.
