How to get started with Confluence Cloud – learning paths in the Seibert Academy

On your marks, get set, go! A lot of things happen at a starting line before you even start running: You get ready, get into the starting position, press your feet into the ground – and when the starting signal goes off, you start running.

These processes before the start are important parts of a race. But processes that build on one another are also useful in other areas, for example when learning. Clear paths and goals support the increase in knowledge. Therefore, our training platform offers the Seibert Academyso-called learning paths in which several courses are thematically linked and build on each other.

This way please! The learning paths of the Seibert Academy

In the past few weeks we have already introduced you to two of these new learning paths: the learning path “Introducing the Atlassian Cloud” and then “Your move to the Confluence Cloud”.

The first learning path is all about preparing for the move to the cloud and learning more about licenses, data protection and the different migration steps. The second learning path goes beyond migration and is dedicated to the functions of the knowledge management tool Confluence – especially with regard to the differences between Confluence Cloud and Confluence Data Center.

And since all good things come in threes, we are providing you with the learning path today “Your start in Confluence” which goes even deeper into Confluence Cloud. It is ideal for beginners who want to learn and master the fundamental functions of Confluence.

Your start in Confluence

The learning path takes you from the very first basics through further basics to trained use of the Atlassian tool. The path includes a total of four modules: two compulsory modules and two optional courses with which you can expand your knowledge even further.

Compulsory modules:

Getting started in Confluence (Cloud): If you’re just getting to know Confluence, you can learn the most important basics in this course. Our Confluence professionals Caro and Lena will show you how the system is structured and what you can do with it.

Creating content in Confluence (Cloud): Now that you know the basic functions of Confluence, you can get started right away and create content for your wiki! Our Confluence trainer Jule will show you how to prepare and manage your content in the best possible way. You will also learn more about permissions and collaborative work in Confluence.

Optional courses:

Impulses for Confluence Cloud users: In this video, our Confluence expert Peter explains how you can track changes on Confluence pages, distribute restrictions and permissions, and import and export content.

Basics of knowledge management: Confluence is THE tool for knowledge management. But what exactly does knowledge management actually mean? Sandra Brückner from our partner Real Experts tells you.
