As the veterinary office emphasizes, puppies from third countries must be validly vaccinated against rabies to enter Austria. The vaccination is possible from the age of twelve weeks.
A serological test must be carried out no earlier than 30 days after vaccination to confirm the protective effect of the rabies vaccination.
The puppy may only be brought to Austria three months after this examination – that means at the earliest at seven months.
