It is reported that this year the Provincial Department of Education will focus on the “Chuyi Vocational Education Style” promotional activities, “Chuyi Reading Experience” sharing activities, “Chuyi Industry Education Platform” open activities, “Chuyi Artisan Skills” display activities and “Chuyi Advanced Model” selection activities.
Among them, in the opening activities of the “Chuyi Industry-Education Platform”, 105 Chuyi workshops, 80 “Chuyi” production-education integration training bases, 20 Chuyi cultural inheritance bases and other cultivation and construction units in the province were opened to the public. Invite primary and secondary school students, parents, and community members to enter the school to check in, design a research class that integrates skills education, labor education, and parent-child education, and carry out activities such as career enlightenment, career awareness, career experience, and career planning guidance. On May 14, the National Launch Ceremony of the 2023 Vocational Education Week and the Opening Ceremony of the National Vocational College Skills Competition was held in Weifang, Shandong. Huai Jinpeng, Minister of Education, said at the opening ceremony that the National Vocational College Skills Competition has achieved full coverage of 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and 19 professional categories for the first time this year. The awards and number of participating teachers and students are also the highest ever.
Since 2015, the State Council has decided to designate the second week of May as a vocational education activity week. During this year’s activity week, ten departments including the Ministry of Education took the lead in organizing more than ten national activities to jointly create a good atmosphere in which the whole society cares about and supports vocational education. All localities will also focus on the theme of the activity week, launch local characteristic highlight activities, and continue to do regular activities and guide schools to carry out good activities, so that more high-quality technical and skilled talents can be seen, and more vocational colleges can be understood by the society.
