Oberto passed away on Tuesday 11 May, after the marriage with his wife Clementina was celebrated on Saturday 7 May. To remember him is his friend Teodoro Medaglia. He was commander in the 1980s
CASTELLAMONTE. Deep condolences in the city of ceramics for the death of Franco Oberto, born in 1938, the historic commander of the traffic police in the 1980s, after a career as a deputy in the early 1970s. The vigilant historian died on Tuesday 11 May of a serious illness.
A special, reserved, simple person, who took part in city events as a member of the Ancient Committee of the Carnival of Castellamonte, but also an innovator, as his friend Teodoro Medaglia recalls: “He arrived in the city in the 70s and was a motorcyclist, so, with his colleague Franco Pastore, they decided to buy two Guzzi motorcycles and work as a motorized brigade – says the deputy mayor.
