In the company of authorities, the governor of Casanare César Ortiz Zorro held a departmental security council in order to strengthen inter-institutional coordination and increase synergy that allows improving the security conditions of the department.

The development of the council was carried out from a multicausal and multidimensional vision in order to implement comprehensive measures seeking the support and rapprochement of citizens with the institutions with prevention activities, education, support for complaints focused on security issues, citizen coexistence, human rights, citizen culture, protection of women and children in our department and respect for biodiversity among others; in order to impact crimes that affect citizens such as Homicide, Theft, Extortion, micro-trafficking, Domestic Violence and Rustling among others.

Some of the points that will be implemented are:

1. Strengthening artificial intelligence and technological support in the National Army, Air Force, the National Police, the Attorney General’s Office and the departmental administration, which allows increasing the capacities of the institutions.

2. Strengthening institutional operations in the frontal fight against common crime and organized crime, strengthening the reward pool and joint operations that allow the capture and dismantling of criminal organizations, “WE WILL LAUNCH THE MOST WANTED POSTER.”

3. Strengthen capacities in the rural and urban sectors for the protection of the countryside and the city; This includes a greater presence of specialties, joint patrols and improving technological capabilities for reporting and attending to cases that arise.

4. Implementation of technology for the protection of Casanareña women; through applications and panic buttons that allow working on the prevention of gender-based violence.

5. Strengthening citizen culture, encouraging denunciation and community work of the population with the aim of transforming environments through the “REPORT PAY” program.

6. Development of prevention and citizen education plans that inter-institutionally link children and adolescents of the department in the use of their free time seeking to prevent the consumption of narcotics and the instrumentalization of these by criminality.

7. The FIRST DEPARTMENTAL FORUM will be held in 2024, where the joint work guidelines and the necessary support will be given to enhance the work of the mayors, with national and international security experts, a base diagnosis for the Comprehensive Plan for security and departmental citizen coexistence. .

8. Link road prevention to the problems associated with safety and coexistence in the hands of the territorial authorities, to reduce accident rates in our department where Casanare unfortunately occupies the first positions in the country.

9. Involve personnel from the Comprehensive Security and Coexistence Plan in permanent coordination with unions, merchants, the private sector, academia, and the media to strengthen the programs to be implemented and develop them jointly.

10. In support of our military and police institutions, they announced resources for incentives to link young people within the incorporation processes to each of them, with economic and educational support, to strengthen the strength.
