The fixed salary was last adjusted in 2013, from 8.10 to 8.35 euros. “Despite inflation, rising cost ratios and ever new transfers of tasks, the fixed surcharge has not been increased for over ten years and is only slightly higher than the level at the time of its introduction in 2002,” complains the Independent Pharmacists’ Association. The disconnection of pharmacies from overall economic development is one of the main causes of the ongoing “pharmacy death”.
