Gomez said.
On the other hand, the lobbyist Jorge Ospino, released a complaint on the council premises “in matters of crime, as Dr. Pedro Gómez has just mentioned, today he denounced that yesterday they threw some pamphlets at a group of animal leaders from the city of Santa Marta who have been demanding years, after years for the rights that animals have; And it is unfair that in a city like Santa Marta, the group of animalists who defend the animals living in the streets of the city are cornered and wake up”. Ospino expressed.

Likewise, the Metropolitan Police of the district informed EL INFORMADOR, a balance based on the operation that they have been exercising in the city “A significant reduction was obtained in crimes such as homicide in the month of May 2022 where 30 homicides and in the month of May of this year there were 20, which is equivalent to a reduction of -33% in this crime, in terms of personal injuries in May 2022 there were 142 cases and 117 in May of this year, which is equivalent to a reduction of -18%”.
“Consequent to this, in theft from people in May 2022, according to statistics, 406 and 212 cases occurred in May of this year, which is equivalent to a percentage of -48%, in the crime of theft from residences, 19 cases in the month of May of the year 2022 and 13 in the month of May of this year, which is equivalent to a reduction of -32%”.
With these pronouncements, the lobbyists show their discontent in the plenary that they made the situation of insecurity that they perceive in the city and based on this they call on the institutions to take the necessary measures to counteract this scourge.
