With the mission of verifying the runoff of water and planning the work for the 2023/25 campaign, a delegation from the National Commission for Regulation and Multiple Use of the Pilcomayo River Basin (CNRP) will carry out an overflight of the area this Tuesday of the General Diaz fort.
The team, which will travel to the aforementioned area, is made up of the head of the CNRP, engineer Artur Niedhammer; the head of the Technical Operational Unit, engineer Carlos Estigarribia and engineer Rocío Mendoza from the Environmental Control Department of the Ministry of the Environment and Sustainable Development (MADES).
These works for the expansion and deepening of the water intake channel, cleaning and interconnection of ravines, plus the implementation of the Contingency Plan for the 2023/2025 campaign, were awarded in three lots.
Lot 1, which covers approximately 185 km from Milestone 1 (Esmeralda) Mistolar, was for the Canales del Chaco Consortium, which offered a minimum price of G. 15,000,000,000 and a maximum price of G. 30,000,000,000.
Lot 2, which extends 375 km and goes from the Mistolar zone to the Fortín Caballero zone, was won by the Fortín Caballero Consortium with a minimum amount of G. 16,500,000,000 and a maximum of G. 33,000,000,000, while Lot 3 ( Contingency Plan) from Milestone 1 (Esmeralda) to the Fortín Caballero area, will be executed by the firm of Eng. Hugo Navarro for a minimum of G. 6,000,000,000 and a maximum of G. 12,000,000,000.
