The Administrative Court of Medellín determined in the first instance, remove the investiture as councilor of Medellín from Juan Carlos Upegui.
The reason for this decision, is that Upegui was facing an investigation because His father would have been appointed rector of a public school in the pre-election period.
Through their social networks, He then alleges that this decision is based on interests to eliminate him as an opponent of the mayor. “In the same sense as the Attorney General’s Office, the Administrative Court of Antioquia has decided that I will lose my investiture as a councilor of Medellín. The purpose is to eliminate opposition to Federico Gutiérrez,” expressed in his X account.
