The museum stated that it will continue to update in the future, supplement the content of the existing exhibition halls, gradually release more detailed historical materials, translate multilingual versions, and open special exhibitions on current events and themes of anniversaries from time to time.

In order to establish a credible academic foundation, the museum established an academic committee to invite experts and scholars who have studied the history of the 1989 Chinese democracy movement and China’s democratization and social movements to join, including Lin Peirui from the University of California, Riverside, and California State University, Los Angeles. Song Yongyi, Bai Xia from the School of Political Sciences in Paris, France, Ako Tomoko from the University of Tokyo, Japan, and Chen Zhijie from Sun Yat-sen University in Taiwan. The “June 4th Memorial Hall” was opened to the public by the Hong Kong government department on June 1 that the museum had not applied for a public entertainment venue license.
