Seongjin Kang father and daughter
[서울=뉴시스] Reporter Choi Ji-yoon = Actor Kang Seong-jin (53) confessed that his daughter was struggling with a rare disease.
On the 11th, Kang Seong-jin revealed on Channel A’s ‘Best Friends Tocumentary – Table for 4’ that his second daughter suffered from Guillain-Barré syndrome. It is a polyneuropathy that causes muscle weakness and involves peripheral and cranial nerves. She explained, “The paralysis starts in the legs and spreads throughout the body,” and “there is also a risk of causing a heart attack.”
“When my daughter was four years old, she became paralyzed from the waist down,” she said. “She also had difficulty controlling her bowels and urine. I asked her to get a nervous system test at a university hospital, and I cried so much when I saw my daughter under general anesthesia. At the time, I was suffering from an epidemic eye disease. “I was sick, and I cried so much that the eye disease disappeared,” he recalled. She said she is now fully recovered. “She has been learning modern dance since her daughter was 11. She is competing in various competitions and winning awards. I am grateful and happy for everything.”
Kang Seong-jin married Lee Hyun-young (46), a former member of the group ‘S’, in 2005. They had one son and two daughters.
