The Municipality of Huaibei is ready to write a new chapter after the leaders of the Huaibei Municipal Party Committee participated in the deliberation of the National People’s Congress deputies. From January 17 to 19, deputies attending the fourth session of the 17th Municipal People’s Congress met in groups to review the government work report, the Municipal People’s Congress Standing Committee work report, and other reports presented at the session.
Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee members Li Zhaohui, Jin Genghua, Gu Shanzhu, Wang Jihong, Jiang Ying, Wu Peiqing, Huang Wei, and Xu Shengli participated in the group deliberation which resulted in valuable discussions aimed at charting a course for the future development of Huaibei.
During the deliberation of the Duji District delegation, Li Zhaohui, a member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee, Secretary of the Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection, and Director of the Municipal Supervisory Committee, expressed that the past year has been a year of economic recovery and development following three years of COVID-19 prevention and control. He encouraged the city’s cadres and masses to continue their hard work and maintain a clear understanding of their duties, emphasizing the importance of being good builders of urban development.
The government work report was also praised by Jin Genghua, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Minister of the Organization Department, when participating in the deliberation of the Suixi County delegation. He highlighted that Suixi County has delivered a wonderful answer to the city’s economic and social development and encouraged the strengthening of employment orientation and practical training for the development of the county.
Furthermore, municipal leaders emphasized the importance of deepening the reform of the development zone system, consolidating the results of state-owned enterprise reforms, and strengthening supervision and assessment to encourage cadres to take on their responsibilities. It was also stressed to focus on policy orientation, effective investment, the development of development zones, and promotion of innovation to improve the city’s economy as mentioned by Wang Jihong, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Executive Deputy Mayor.
The deliberations were an opportunity for leaders to affirm the achievements of the past year and set goals for the future. Municipal leaders shared a common goal of uniting to make Huaibei a better place for its residents, emphasizing the need for progress, innovation, and unity.
The deliberation meetings were a momentous occasion which saw leaders from various districts come together to discuss the path forward for Huaibei, with each expressing their commitment to work towards building a “Five Yi’s” happy city and achieving remarkable progress in the areas of industry, urban and rural development, and government services.
As a result of the vigorous deliberation, municipal leaders are energized and prepared to turn the goals and visions of the government work report into reality, setting a strong foundation for the development of Huaibei in the coming year.
