Making open government: pilot paths compared

Online appointment, Wednesday 26 July from 10.00 to 12.30, for the talk Making open government: pilot paths in comparison”. The event explores the development of citizen listening policies, through the story of the central and local public administrations that have experimented with participatory processes.

Over the past two years, seven administrations have been supported by the Opengov Project staff – made up of experts from the Department of Public Administration and Formez PA – in the development of otto open government pilot courses dedicated to the theme of participation, through the direct involvement of citizens in the definition of public policies. The story of the paths created together with the pilot administrations is available in Experiences section of the Italia Open Gov.

In the final phase of the project, and following the significant experiences gained in the last two years, we wanted to organize a public moment of discussion between the participants of the various pilot courses, which allows for a joint reflection on some specific aspects of the experiences.

The comparison, introduced by Sauro Angeletti – DG UISC Public Function Department e Sergius TalamoForm PA, will start from the presentation of the pilot courses of the Opengov project: methods and tools for open administrationproposed by Elisa Barbagiovanni GasparoUISC Public Function Departmentand will continue with one panel discussion among the protagonists of the experiences. The conclusions will be edited by Sabina Bellotti – PoC OGP Public Function Department.

All the activities were carried out as part of the PON-GOV project “Opengov: methods and tools for open administration”, promoted by the Department of Public Administration and implemented by Formez PA, in order to support and encourage the methods and principles of open government, also through the implementation of projects in the administrations.
