At least 51,000 people evacuated
(ANSA) – ROME, DECEMBER 21 – The death toll of the worst flood that has ever hit Malaysia in the last seven years has risen to at least 14 dead, with the evacuation of tens of thousands of people.
According to reports from the BBC, three days of torrential rain brought eight states in the country to their knees, partially submerging numerous towns and villages.
Until yesterday, according to some estimates, at least 51,000 people had been evacuated, most of them in the state of Pahang on the east coast, one of the most affected together with that of Selangor, which is home to the capital Kuala Lumpur. (HANDLE).
