Maniema: more than 600,000 children expected to be vaccinated against polio

Health workers are going door to door already this Thursday, March 28 morning to vaccinate all children aged 0 to 59 months against polio. This vaccination campaign, officially launched the day before, targets at least six hundred thousand children in the eighteen health zones of the Maniema province.

Every child under 5 years old receives two drops of OPV vaccine.

For his part, the head of the health division pleads for the success of this operation.

He also invites each party to increase their involvement in putting an end to the presence of polio in Maniema and fighting against other vaccine-preventable diseases.

This polio vaccination campaign will last three days, from March 28 to 30.
