From the Conservative Political Action Convention (CPAC) in Washington, United States, the senator of the Democratic Center, María Fernanda Cabal, called for the legalization of carrying weapons in Colombia.
Cabal, who actively participates in this important event, took the opportunity to criticize the policies of Gustavo Petro’s government, highlighting the disparity in the benefits granted to citizens and members of the security forces.

Furthermore, Cabal recalled that the carrying of weapons was allowed for 23 years in Colombia, but was eliminated during the government of Juan Manuel Santos.. He argued that the right to life is intrinsically linked to self-defense.

«We have to build a great barrier against the Sao Paulo Forum and the Puebla Group that have been destroying country by country. We have to share the ideas about the freedoms of Judeo-Christian civilization that God gives us in the Bible and not governments. We have to defend them to the end,” Cabal emphasized, highlighting the importance of protecting conservative values.
Within the framework of CPAC, Cabal highlighted that this event has served as a platform to promote Donald Trump’s candidacy, as well as to make visible the voices of other political leaders from Latin America and Spain, including Javier Milei, Nayib Bukele, Santiago Abascal and Eduardo Bolsonaro.
