UDINE. A few days after the publication of the regional regulation, the Government dictates the guidelines for the opening of summer centers. In Friuli Venezia Giulia the service will start on 10 June and the managers have just over two weeks to adopt the measures to contain the infection from Sars-CoV2. It will be easier if they prefer outdoor activities, social distancing and vaccination of staff remain mandatory.
In the region thousands of registrations are expected, just think that last year alone the Region recognized 2,391 bonuses to families, this year there will be more also because the total amount of the fund has gone from 700 thousand to one million euros.
The circular
Having said all this, the managers must adapt to the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health, Roberto Speranza. Compared to the regional regulation, the circular does not indicate any numerical relationship between operators and members and therefore the shirts appear wider than in the past. “The maximum number of minors accepted – reads the document – must take into account the spaces and the area available, the recommendations on physical distancing, as well as the number of people present in the room, the type of activity carried out and the length of stay when activities are carried out in closed places ». Managers are invited, in fact, to favor outdoor spaces.
Measures
The guidelines propose anti-contagion measures, recommend the sanitation of the hands, not to cough or sneeze without a mask, to maintain physical distance and to avoid activities that involve gatherings, not to touch the face with the hands, to clean the hands frequently. surfaces with which you come into contact and to ventilate the rooms. In addition to the surgical mask, operators working with children from zero to three years must also wear a visor or some other device for the eyes, face and mucous membranes. Also in this context, if disinfectants are used, it is recommended that disinfection be followed by rinsing, especially for toys that children may carry in their mouths. Similarly, managers are advised to pay particular attention to transport in the case of excursions and trips. The goal is to avoid crowds on buses and, therefore, possible opportunities for contagion.
Overnight
Some summer camps provide overnight stays in shelters or in other accommodation facilities. In this case, managers must guarantee at least one meter distance between the beds, with possible alternating inversion of the headboards. The same measure must also be applied during the personal hygiene of minors. The measurement of body temperature, the availability of a hydroalcoholic gel dispenser for the hands at the entrance of each room or tent and at least one change a week of clean linen are not lacking.
And pasta
Operators must wash their hands before preparing and serving food. They must also ensure the use of disposable cutlery and crockery at all times. The same rules must also be imposed on any external suppliers of the canteen service. On the other hand, the manager of the summer camp must ensure, at least once a day, the cleaning of all the rooms, including the toilets.
Possible cases of contagion
If a child develops discomfort or a few lines of fever during the activities, he must be isolated from his companions and entrusted to a vaccinated operator who must wear a mask and remain one meter away. The room where the possible infected has been isolated must be disinfected. Obviously, those in quarantine cannot access the premises of the summer camps.
