The operation has started: there is the area, that of the former Agricultural Consortium, the last stretch of Corso Torino, 5 thousand meters in front of the disused industrial site of the Salp, which lends itself to reconversion, a private property that has been dialoguing with the leaders of the US multinational, and the Rivarolo municipal administration which, after having reasoned a lot about it, has made itself available to support what is seen as an important development opportunity for the city and the entire territory, since never, before now, the stars and stripes colossus had considered the possibility of going well beyond the borders of the Turin belt, in the direction of the Alto Canavese.
The example of Il Gigante

In the meantime, there has been this expression of interest, the technicians of the multinational have been contacted, McDonald’s has reiterated its willingness to proceed in this direction and also with some speed. The next steps are the presentation of the projects, the procedures for authorizations, the construction site. I think that within a few months we will be able to give certain deadlines, but I believe that 2022 could be the year of McDonald’s in Rivarolo ».
A driving force for the economy
The complex of the former agricultural consortium will be demolished. Signs of what the administration led by the mayor Aberto Rostagno has in mind for a city as important as Rivarolo have already been seen in the drafting of the prg and the work done on the occasion of the presentation of the candidacy dossier for the trade district confirmed it.
