It is the age of electric and the demand for EV vehicles is increasing in Pakistan as well. The rulers may not have much hand in this, but the main reason is the rising prices of petrol.
The new electric car ‘MG4’ was introduced by MG Pakistan at the end of last year. This vehicle was introduced in two models named ‘Excite’ and ‘Essence’.
The MG4 produces 240 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. With this power, this vehicle is capable of reaching a speed of 0 to 100 kmph in 7.2 seconds.
The MG has been launched with a four-rear-wheel drive system, with a 10.25-inch digital touchscreen on the dashboard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The battery of this vehicle can surprisingly be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 35 minutes.
Both the vehicle models are introduced with different battery packs and different prices. The base model is priced at Rs 1 crore 10 lakh while the expensive model comes in today’s Rs 1 crore 40 lakh.
The Excite model with MG4’s 51 kWh battery pack has a range of 400 km on a single charge while the Essence has a range of 450 km.
The vehicle is equipped with an advanced driving assistance system called MG Pilot, which includes several safety features like Active Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist.
Thanks to its slim battery and long wheelbase, the MG4 EV offers plenty of head and legroom.
However, looking at it, it becomes difficult to decide whether to call it a variant of the Toyota Aqua Hi or not.
MG claims the MG4 EV is the second best-selling electric car of 2023, having won more than 30 major awards, including the impressive ‘Car of the Year’ title.
