After the President of the Republic, Nayib Bukele, reacted to the opinions of those who oppose the diaspora casting their vote, the ambassador of El Salvador to the United States, Milena Mayorga, thanked the president for “not leaving them alone to our brothers abroad.”

The diplomat told the opposition: “The agenda against Salvadorans abroad has been so reprehensible that they even came to Washington to ask that if our compatriots exercised their suffrage it be considered a crime.”

And now, Salvadorans abroad who have their DUI with an address abroad can cast their vote through Remote Voting over the Internet, from their cell phone, tablet or computer.

“Voting is now open; Tens of thousands of Salvadorans have already exercised their right. Here I share the instructions. If you have any questions or concerns, you can call this phone number 24/7: +1 (833) 607-1560,” said the Head of State, who has ensured the rights of his compatriots.

“Thanks to your State decision, Salvadorans abroad are going to vote for the first time,” said Mayorga.
