Local Official Leads Safety Inspections in Printing and Film Screening Companies
In a recent effort to ensure the safety of production and operation in printing and reproduction companies and film screening units, Chen Ji, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Minister of the Propaganda Department, led a team to conduct thorough inspections in the city of Jiangmen.
Using the “four non-directions” method, Chen Ji and his team visited Jiangmen Tuwen Printing Co., Ltd. to assess the company’s printing workshop and internal firefighting equipment. The team also checked the company’s firefighting equipment inspection ledger and ensured the smoothness of firefighting passages. Upon identifying potential safety concerns, recommendations for rectification were provided.
The inspection continued at China Film Southern International Cinemas, where the team focused on the condition of fire exits and the effectiveness of fire protection facilities and equipment. Additionally, the theater director was urged to enhance employee fire safety training and increase daily safety inspections to ensure the safety of moviegoers during the festival season.
During the inspections, Chen Ji emphasized the importance of prioritizing people and life, as well as the need to tighten production safety responsibilities and identify and address potential risks and hidden dangers. The goal is to prevent major safety production accidents and ensure the safety of people’s lives, property, and overall social stability. Chen Ji stressed the importance of implementing safe operating procedures and safety precautions and ensuring that safety training, self-inspection, and self-correction are in place.
As a result of the joint efforts of the city’s publicity system and relevant departments, a total of 1,785 personnel conducted inspections in 413 printing and copying companies, 258 publication operating units, and 39 film screening units. As a result, 88 hidden dangers have been identified and rectified.
The proactive approach to safety inspections highlights the commitment of local authorities to prioritize the well-being of citizens and visitors, especially during festive periods when public gatherings and activities are common. By conducting comprehensive and detailed inspections and addressing potential safety hazards, the city of Jiangmen is making significant strides in promoting a safe and secure environment for all.
