The second edition of “See Naples and then eat”, an event promoted and financed by the Department of Tourism and Productive Activities of the Municipality of Naples. The program, which will take place throughout the Easter holidays and will run until May 1st, was presented to the press by the Councilor for Tourism and Productive Activities Teresa Armato and by the anthropologist Marino Niola, supervisor of the event. The aim of “See Naples and then eat” is to tell the gastronomic uniqueness of Naples with cultural, historical and artistic insights into some of the most representative dishes of Neapolitan cuisine.
Curiosities and anecdotes about Neapolitan cuisine and its international vocation, with events in which, together with show cooking and tastings, artistic performances will be included in the calendar. From 28 March to 1 May 2024 the events will take place in various places in the city, composing an extraordinary journey of taste: Regina Coeli Refectory, Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana, San Domenico Maggiore, Sala del Lazzaretto, Monastery of Santa Maria in Gerusalemme (the Atrium of the Trentatrè), Royal Botanical Garden, Terme di Agnano. The main dishes: The Mussels of Holy Thursday, The Margherita between saints and queens, The Parmigiana, Casatiello between sweet and savory, The Pastiera, Fried Zeppole di San Giuseppe, Minestra Maritata, Classic and vegetarian meatballs, The Genovese in Naples, Cod under Vesuvius, Chocolate and Coffee, Baked Pasta, Pasta & Peas, Neapolitan Lasagna.
